About Dragoș Manea

My name is Dragoș Manea, and my journey into photography began in childhood, when I got my first video camera. It also took photos, which was lucky for me, because I was just as curious about capturing a single moment as I was about recording it.

That little camera sparked something that never really went away. Over time, my curiosity grew into a passion, eventually leading me to study film and discover what goes into creating an image.

I graduated with a degree in cinematography, and ever since, light, composition and movement have been a big part of how I see the world. Whether I’m working on a film or out with my camera, I’m drawn to the way images can capture emotions, tell a story or make us see something familiar in a different light.

Beyond filmmaking, I find inspiration in the outdoors, especially landscape photography, mountain hiking and macro photography. I love the contrast between the vastness of a landscape and the tiny details we often overlook. Sometimes, all it takes is a closer look to discover an entirely different world.

For me, every project is an opportunity to explore, experiment and learn something new. I believe the best images come from curiosity, patience and a genuine connection with what’s in front of the camera.
